As far as backyards go, you can’t really beat New Brunswick. Here, you’re never more than an hour from one of our 9 provincial parks. And those parks, well, epic doesn’t even cover it. From the highest peak in the Maritimes, to long stretches of beach with warm salt water, to hidden waterfalls, to trails for every level of adventure—it’s all nearby. We wanted to remind New Brunswickers how great (and how close) our provincial parks are, so we decided to bring the park to them…
How? By doing a little overnight Cinderella-ing! Sure, we didn’t have wands, but we did have a ton of native vegetation that transformed the iconic bus stop on King Street in Saint John into mini green oasis right in the heart of Uptown.
With the sounds of birdcalls filling the air, our green haven was given that little extra je ne sais quoi by having two members of our parks squad on hand to chat with passersby. (And hand out some sweet swag!)
From identifying the seagulls strolling through the Uptown, to naming the trees that were part of our mini park – the reactions were absolutely priceless. Check it out:
If you missed out on our must-stop bus stop provincial park—no worries! Our provincial parks are open until Thanksgiving this year, so you still have time to get out there and #ExploreNB.
